While some are not yet ready to proclaim Josh Allen as the best QB in the NFL heading into the 2022 season, his Buffalo Bills teammate Jordan Poyer is not one of them.
For the All-Pro safety, Allen has already reached that standing, which is why he is confident they will be way deadlier come the new campaign.
“I think we’ve got the best quarterback in the damn league,” Poyer said, via The Score, “So, that being said, I think the sky is the limit for this team.”
With Josh Allen leading the way, the Bills finished with the best record (11-6) in the AFC East. They took down the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round before suffering a narrow defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in their Divisional Round showdown.
Allen was sensational throughout 2021, hitting the 4000-yard, 35-touchdown mark for the second straight year. While his numbers declined compared to 2020, it actually only showed that the 26-year-old Bills QB hasn’t hit his ceiling yet.
Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Justin Herbert and, perhaps, Matthew Stafford will probably have something to say about that bold statement from Jordan Poyer, but in the end, they can let their games do the talking.
Clearly, though, Poyer is confident that Allen can more than prove to everyone that he is indeed the best quarterback in the NFL as things currently stand.
