How to play Nerdle
Unlike the majority of Wordle alternatives, Nerdle deals entirely with numbers. You get a grid of eight horizontally placed boxes, each of which can contain either a number between 0-9 or an operation symbol between addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The equation must be computational and contain an equals sign. Further, the right hand side and the left hand side must be equal. Standard order of operations apply so do follow your BODMAS.
You get six attempts to figure out the equation. Every time you make a guess, the game gives you clues just like Wordle. A gray highlight means the number or operation is not part of the answer, a purple highlight means that while it is part of the answer but it has been placed at the wrong position and a green highlight means that the number or operation is both in the right place and in the equation. The aim of the game is to win as early as possible and to keep the streak going.
